Dessa konstverk är idag väldigt eftertraktade. Dessa riktade sig till barn och skolor och kom till marknaden på 1800-talet. Aquarium färgerna (vattenfärg) på Bourgeois Aine kom som kakor och rör. Bourgeois Aine fusionerade 1965 med Lefranc, grundad av Alexandre Lefranc, till Bourgeois & Lefranc.

In the 19th century, one of the largest French manufacturers and retailers of paint and painting equipment, including the camera obscura, was used to project an image to a painter. Bourgeois Aine made a variety of watercolors, sold in typical 19th-century wooden boxes and finally in metal cases. These works of art are highly sought after today. At a time when highly toxic pigments were used, Bourgeois Aine brought together a watercolor box of non-toxic paints. These were aimed at children and schools and came to the market in the 19th century. The aquarium colors (watercolor) of Bourgeois Aine came as cakes and tubes. Bourgeois Aine merged in 1965 with Lefranc, founded by Alexandre Lefranc, to Bourgeois & Lefranc.
